DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT | NO WALK-INS\nMinimal sedation is a simple yet powerful tool to reduce patient anxiety and improve patient satisfaction. In Texas\, Level 1 minimal sedation is easily accessible to all dentists. This presentation provides a practical and up-to-date guide to minimal sedation Texas. Attendees will learn how to safely implement minimal sedation in their daily practice while ensuring they are compliant with current Texas State Board of Dental Examiners regulations. \nThis program is designed to improve the participant’s ability to: \n\nDescribe the requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Level 1 Sedation Permit in Texas\nExplain the necessary monitoring\, documentation\, personnel\, and equipment for compliant sedation delivery\nDescribe safe clinical protocols for administering minimal sedation for various patient populations\nRecognize common errors with minimal sedation in dental practice\n\nBrandon Key\, DDS earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Spanish from the University of New Mexico\, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry. He graduated as valedictorian of his class with a distinction in research. After dental school\, Dr. Key completed a 3-year dental anesthesiology residency at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and University Hospital. He is a diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. \nDr. Key joined the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry’s Bernard and Gloria Pepper Katz Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2023. Since then\, he has served on the anesthesia staff at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and as a clinical faculty member at the school of dentistry. He provides sedation and anesthesia for pediatric and adult patients in both office and hospital settings. He is actively involved in clinical and didactic dental education and research. His research interests include pediatric sedation and anesthesia\, perioperative medicine\, patient safety\, and post-surgical pain management. \nDr. Key is originally from the beautiful state of New Mexico\, but now happily calls Houston his home with his wife\, who is also a devoted UTHealth doctor. \nConflict of Interest:  None disclosed. \nCancellations received before September 11\, 2025 will be assessed a 25% administrative fee\, cancellations received after this date will be non-refundable. DESCRIPTION:OSHA Compliance: OSHA Training for Dental Professionals \nIntroductory OSHA training program to guide staff through OSHA regulations and steps for compliance. For staff needing basic OSHA training. \nThis introductory OSHA training program guides staff through OSHA regulations and steps for compliance and may be used for new employees as the first session on OSHA compliance and/or current staff who have not received basic training. \nIt covers the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard which includes exposure\, control plan\, personal protective equipment\, HBV\, HIV\, post-exposure evaluation and follow up as well as the Hazard Communication Standard\, which includes Material Safety Data Sheets and hazardous chemicals. Information for the dentist or compliance manager including study materials\, checklists\, and a quiz will be provided. \nMs. Jill Yeager has been working in dentistry for over 30 years. She has presented programs for the Texas Dental Association\, Greater Houston Dental Society and UTHSC Dental Branch Houston and works with offices on compliance issues (OSHA\, HIPAA\, Radiation Safety & CPR).
