The MOSAIC Project

After Induction into the International College of Dentistry (ICD) in Atlanta 2016, Drs. Ben Warner, Joe Piazza and David Fray initiated a community service project coordinating with all student groups in our dental school to raise awareness of the health disparity of vulnerable populations in Houston.  The goal for MOSAIC is to celebrate diversity through collaborative community service outreach to people that are houseless (homeless), veterans and persons with intellectual disabilities.

The MOSAIC concept is to celebrate our diversity with the multiple student groups with joint common service projects. Mosaic provides awareness of health disparities for students and faculty supporting health screenings at veteran’s programs, downtown homeless shelters, State and Local Special Olympics events, and national conference poster presentations at dental meetings.
