GHDS Member Practice Spotlight

The GHDS Communications Committee in collaboration with other GHDS committees coordinates several ongoing initiatives to engage and inform our member dentists and dental community. Featured is our next practice spotlight with member specialist Dr. Andrew Rossi. 

Andrew Rossi DDS, MSD is a Board-Certified Periodontist with expertise in regenerative periodontal therapy and soft and hard tissue reconstruction, as well as esthetic periodontal services. He practices in southwest Houston.

Here we share our interview with Dr. Rossi:

Where are you from and where did you attend college, dental school, and residency if any?

"I am a native Houstonian born and bred.  I went to the University of St. Thomas, the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and completed my periodontal residency at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston."

What is your favorite part about your practice?

"We are one of the most unique Periodontal practices in the country in that we not only have an innovative private practice, but we also perform private practice based clinical research which include clinical trials for major dental companies.  We also provide an immense amount of fun clinical education."

What would you say is the mission statement of how you practice dentistry?

"To provide world class healthcare for our patients in an interdisciplinary environment where the patient comes first."

How do you balance work and personal life?

"Every day, I try to improve both my home life and work life.  This is helped by the fact that I love what I do and do not look at practice as work.  At the same time, I always try to place time in my calendar for my family knowing that they are the most important people in my life."

What advice would you have to current dental students?

"Try everything and find out what you really love.  Don’t try to be okay at everything, strive to be the best at one thing."
