Membership/New Dentist CE Study Clubs (Social) -
Study Clubs offer educational opportunities important to New Dentists, along with social interaction. Study Clubs attract 20-40 attendees.

Membership/New Dentist CE Panel - CE Panels are educational opportunities where experts share expertise on various business topics related to dentistry. CE Panels attract 30 – 40 attendees.

The mission of the Membership/New Dentist Committee is to passionately share the value of being an ac­tive, contributing member in the Tripartite System of the ADA, TDA and GHDS.

New Dentist members are recent graduates from 0-10 year out of school. 

The committee strives to provide a forum to address the concerns of new dentists, encourages membership and participation in organized dentistry, and facilitates integration throughout the Dental Society through continuing education opportunities and regular social events.

Dr. Mariangela Smith

Dr. Mariangela Smith earned her Bachelor of Science from UT Austin and her DDS in 2018 from the UT Health Science Center at Houston.  She maintains an active role in organized dentistry to connect with other colleagues, interact with great mentors and help shape the future of the dental profession. She has served as a member of the Membership/New Dentist Committee for a few years, and feels privileged to now serve as a co-chair.

Dr. Annie Huet Moss

Dr. Annie Huet Moss earned her degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University in 2017. She then returned to her hometown of Houston, Texas to completed her DDS in 2021 from University of Texas School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Moss joined her mother, Dr. Jennine Huet, in private practice in The Woodlands, TX. Dr. Moss is passionate about organized dentistry and maintaining a great community of dental professionals here in the Houston area so being co-chair of the New Dentist Committee for the GHDS is a true honor.
