MEET DR. SPIKER DAVIS-A LIFETIME LOVE FOR DENTISTRY
Dr. Spiker Davis is a 52-year member of the Greater Houston Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry, reflecting his lifelong commitment to professional growth. His passion for dentistry is evident in his pursuit of cosmetic excellence, earning him Accredited Member status with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a Master Status in the Academy of General Dentistry. Over the years, he has actively contributed to his profession, including serving as President of the Houston Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry.
While in dental school, Dr. Davis honed his skills as a dental lab technician, providing him with a unique perspective on restorative work. After graduation, he joined the practice of Dr. Larry Byrd, a Pankey Cadre instructor, a mentorship that has shaped his approach for decades. Today, he enjoys a limited practice focused on restorative and cosmetic dentistry, blending artistry with function.
Dr. Davis’s dedication to excellence and patient-centered care has fostered remarkable loyalty. Many patients have been with him since dental school, and several staff members have served for 30+ years. His calm, personalized approach reflects his philosophy: “The mouth is the window to your health.”
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Davis is a family man—married with two daughters, a stepdaughter, and ten grandchildren. He cherishes time with his wife, Betty, and still finds time to enjoy snow skiing.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Davis is committed to supporting the dental community. He founded Access Dental Co-op, a collaborative initiative helping private, fee-for-service dentists compete in today’s corporate environment. Since 2020, membership has grown from 20 to over 2,000 dentists, with average savings of $3,000–$5,000 per month, and active participants saving significantly more. Dr. Davis himself saved $13,000 in December 2025, reflecting his dedication to empowering dentists to reach their full potential.
Dr. Spiker Davis doesn’t just practice dentistry—he lives it, shaping a profession, inspiring colleagues, and making lasting differences in the lives of dentists, patients and families alike.
