GHDS Diversity & Inclusion Recipe - January 2025

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee delivers something “New and Tasty” for our ongoing initiative!

Happy New Year! What are the holidays in Puerto Rico without Coquito?

Puerto Rico is known for the longest Christmas in the world. The holidays start way before Thanksgiving and are extended until the San Sebastian Patron Fiestas, the third weekend in January!  Coquito is a cold cocktail based on coconut, three different kinds of milk, and rum.  There are variations of the recipe included, and all are valid. Some people add pistachio, Nutella or Ginger.  At every party or family reunion during Christmas time, the Coquito needs
to be on the table, and several bottles of it. We even have Coquito tastings because everyone does it quite different.

I hope you enjoy this recipe – it’s one of the best!
