MEET DR. RON HILL
Dr. Hill earned his B.A. in U.S. History from the University of Houston in 1993 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental School–Houston in 1997. He went on to complete an elective residency in General Practice and Hospital Dentistry at Hermann Hospital in 1998, where he also received his board certification in treating the medically compromised patient.
After nine years in general dentistry practice in the greater Houston area, Dr. Hill discovered a deep passion for endodontics and made the decision to return to advanced specialty training in 2007. He earned both his Certificate in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Texas Dental School–Houston, where he was honored to serve as Chief Resident in his final year.
Following residency, Dr. Hill returned to private practice while continuing to give back to the profession as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the dental school — a role he held until 2019. His research and clinical interests center on endodontic infections and their treatment, and he serves as a consultant to several endodontic companies. He is also a sought-after lecturer on emerging technologies in the field.
Dr. Hill has served as a Key Opinion Leader and clinical expert for the GentleWave System by Sonendo, which he incorporated into his practice in 2018. Beyond his clinical expertise, he is deeply committed to patient ethics, autonomy, and informed consent, and believes strongly in transparency around treatment options and fees.
His leadership within the profession is extensive. Dr. Hill has served as President of the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Houston Academy of Endodontics, and the University of Texas Dental School Alumni Association Board, and has served on the Board of Directors of both the American Association of Endodontists and the Texas Dental Association. He was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy in 2022 and the International College of Dentists in 2023.
On a personal note, Dr. Hill has been married to his wife, Stacy, for more than 20 years, and they have two children, Josh and Cyrus. Outside the office, he is an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction, enjoys craft beer and golf, and is a self-described rabid fan of all Houston sports teams — and the University of Texas Longhorns.
